Control panel design & build
At CKF we design, build, install and commission our own control systems built to the individual standards and specification requirements of each customer. Panel sizes can range from an individual control panel for an individual motor to multiples or suits of panels being provided for fully integrated and automated solutions. These can include the interfacing between many pieces of equipment, integrated safety circuits, network systems and the integration of 3rd party equipment. We also offer a design and build service only if required by the customer. These can be offered as standard or bespoke panels in either painted mild steel or stainless steel.
Our in-house design team are proficient in EPLAN and AutoCAD electrical design and deliver complicated systems to tight project time scales. All panels are tested before delivery and provided with a printed set of schematics to compliment the build.
We have a successful history in providing panels in a variety of industries across the world covering multiple sectors including FMCG, Automotive, Logistics and Pharmaceutical.
Our panel building team will carry out the panel assembly, wiring, terminations and labelling in accordance with schematics and test the panel/panels before dispatch.
HMI & PLC programming
Our in house team of software/controls engineers are able to deliver automation through a number of different platforms. Allen Bradley and Siemens amongst others are commonly used to ensure a system is fully functioning and interactive with the end user.
Using our standard library functionality or creating new and bespoke applications we ensure all customer requirements are met. Delivering the interaction with a system through hmi’s and scada systems.
Interfacing with 3rd party equipment through a number of different communication networks, integration and creating data information for high level management systems.
Post commissioning support is always available to our customers which can be carried through remote access solutions.
Our in house team of software/controls engineers are able to deliver robotic solutions through a number of different robot manufacturers and robot types.
Offline robot simulation tools are used to demonstrate to the customer the layout of the system and ensure verify the robot reach, operating window, cycle times and safety working areas of the robot are known at an early stage of the project.
Using our own in house standard easy use operator friendly interfacing software, the manufacturers provided interfacing software or creating our own new and bespoke robot programs we can deliver everything that is required for the installation.
All of our robot systems are complimented with bespoke tool fitting for the customers application, this can be simple end effectors, vacuum gripper pads of various sizes and complexity, sack handling fork grippers or case handling gripper tools. All ensuring that the cycle times, safety, payloads and product integrity are met.
All the robots are fully integrated through hard wired safety and various communication types to our systems.
Design & Manufacturing (3D Modelling)
CKF Systems continue to invest in the latest software for design and simulation.
All of our solutions are created with the assistance of 3D modelling which provides a real insight into the finished job. Mechanical design utilises Inventor 3D CAD software allowing components and assemblies to be rotated and manipulated providing full visualisation for both the designer and the customer. The beauty of 3D designs is that unlike the traditional design drawings which many people find difficult to interpret fully, 3D CAD software brings to life the project
Complex systems can be simulated to verify throughputs, efficiencies and potential bottle necks using the computerised simulation package Witness.
Mechanical fabrication and manufacture together with panel build and wiring are all carried out in-house within our state-of-the-art facility in Gloucester, with a large area for full system assembly enabling Factory Acceptance Testing of the system prior to shipping.
